Sustainability is a constant concern for any seafarer with a fondness for sailing; as conditions worsen, the sea can become hostile to human and marine life, rendering any journey into the waters dangerous. However, according to refit yard MB92, there are multiple solutions that the superyacht industry can undertake to minimise the significant toll that superyachts have on the environment. While many new builds have pioneered technologies to create a far more sustainable fleet, these efforts do not apply to the current fleet of vessels, which can become challenging to retrofit or modernise depending on the superyacht.
